These Terms of Service govern your use of jakehernandezbailbonds.com and any communication you initiate with Jake Hernandez Bail Bonds ("we", "us", "our"), a bail bond agency licensed by the California Department of Insurance (Lic #1K94408). By browsing this website, submitting a form, calling (909) 406-6909, or texting our office, you agree to the terms below. Bail bond services themselves are governed by the written bond agreement, the indemnitor agreement you sign, California Insurance Code §1800 et seq., Title 10 of the California Code of Regulations, and the orders of the court holding the underlying case.
No Legal Advice
Everything published on this website — including charge explanations, penal code summaries, county bail schedule figures, jail release estimates, and court information — is general educational information and is not legal advice. We are licensed bail agents, not attorneys, and no attorney-client relationship is created by reading this site, submitting a form, or speaking with one of our agents. Bail schedules change, charges are amended, and a judge may deviate from the published schedule at arraignment. Consult a licensed California criminal defense attorney before making decisions about a pending case, a plea, a bail motion, or a surrender.
Bond Premiums and Rates
California sets bail bond premiums by filed rate. The standard premium is 10% of the face amount of the bond. A reduced 8% rate applies where a private attorney of record represents the defendant, and the same reduced rate is commonly available to active-duty military members, veterans, and union members. The premium is fully earned at the moment the bond is posted with the detention facility or court and is non-refundable, even if the defendant is released within minutes, the case is dismissed the following day, or charges are never filed. This is not our policy — it is how surety premium works under California law, because the surety's guarantee to the court attaches the instant the bond is filed.
Any quote provided by phone, text, email, or through a calculator on this website is an estimate based on the information available at that moment. Final pricing depends on the bail amount actually set by the court or the county bail schedule, applicable holds, and the underwriting decision of the surety. We will confirm the exact figure in writing before you sign anything, and we will never add processing fees, "convenience" surcharges, or undisclosed costs on top of the filed rate.
Payment Plans and Financing
Zero-down and low-down payment plans are offered on approved credit and approved co-signer qualification. Nothing on this website constitutes a guaranteed offer of financing. Approval depends on the co-signer's verifiable income, employment stability, residency, and the size and risk profile of the bond. Where a plan is approved, installments are interest-free, may be scheduled around paydays, and may be paid off early at no penalty. Missed installments may result in collection activity under the terms of the signed premium agreement.
Co-Signer and Indemnitor Obligations
The co-signer (indemnitor) is financially responsible for the full face amount of the bond if the defendant fails to appear in court and the bond is forfeited and not reinstated. By signing, the indemnitor also agrees to reimburse reasonable costs of apprehension, investigation, and recovery in the event of a skip. The indemnitor must keep us informed of any change in the defendant's address, employment, or contact information, and must notify us immediately if the defendant intends to leave the state or the country.
Collateral
Collateral may be required on larger bonds or where underwriting requires additional security. Acceptable collateral includes real property equity, vehicles with clear title, jewelry, or cash held in trust. Collateral is returned in full after the court exonerates the bond and all premium obligations are satisfied. Collateral is not a fee and is never retained as compensation where the defendant complies with all court appearances.
Court Appearances
The defendant must appear at every scheduled court date. Failure to appear can result in a bench warrant, bond forfeiture, and revocation of release. We send courtesy reminders as a service, not as a legal obligation, and the responsibility for tracking and attending court dates remains with the defendant and counsel. If a date must be moved, contact your attorney before the hearing date passes.
Communications Consent
When you submit a form or text our office, you consent to receive calls, SMS messages, and emails from us about your inquiry, your bond, and upcoming court dates. Message and data rates may apply. You may opt out of marketing messages at any time by replying STOP or using the unsubscribe link in any email; transactional messages regarding an active bond will continue while the bond is in force.
Referrals Outside California
Pages on this website that reference states other than California are referral resources. We are not licensed to write bonds outside California and do not do so. For out-of-state matters, we connect you at no cost with a bondsman licensed in that jurisdiction. Rates, statutes, and release procedures in other states differ from California's and are controlled by that state's law and that agent's filed rates.
Website Accuracy and Availability
We work to keep bail schedule figures, jail addresses, court information, and release timelines accurate, but facilities relocate, phone numbers change, and counties revise their schedules. Information is provided "as is" without warranty of any kind. We are not liable for indirect, incidental, or consequential damages arising from reliance on information published here. Verify time-sensitive details by calling our office at (909) 406-6909.
Intellectual Property

Governing Law
These terms are governed by the laws of the State of California without regard to conflict-of-law principles. Any dispute arising from these terms or from a bond written by our agency is subject to the jurisdiction of the California courts in the county where the bond was written. If any provision is found unenforceable, the remaining provisions remain in full effect.
Changes to These Terms
We may update these terms as regulations, services, or business practices change. Continued use of the website after an update constitutes acceptance of the revised terms. Questions about anything on this page can be directed to our office 24 hours a day at (909) 406-6909.
