LA County courthouses & arraignment schedule
Most in-custody felonies are arraigned within 48 court hours at the Clara Shortridge Foltz Criminal Justice Center (CCB) at 210 W Temple St in downtown Los Angeles. Regional arraignment courts include Airport Branch (LAX), Van Nuys Courthouse East, Long Beach Governor George Deukmejian Courthouse, Pomona Courthouse South, Pasadena Courthouse, San Fernando Courthouse, Antelope Valley Courthouse (Lancaster), Compton Courthouse, and Torrance Courthouse. When we post your bond we automatically calendar every court appearance, send reminders 72 hours before each date, and coordinate with your private attorney or public defender so nothing slips.
LA County felony bail schedule & real pricing
Los Angeles County publishes one of the highest felony bail schedules in California, updated annually by the Superior Court. Typical amounts: DUI misdemeanor $5,000–$20,000; domestic violence PC 273.5 $50,000; assault with a deadly weapon PC 245 $50,000–$100,000; possession for sale HS 11351 $30,000; robbery PC 211 $100,000; residential burglary $50,000. California caps the bail bond premium at 10% by statute (CA Ins. Code §1800), so a $50,000 bond costs $5,000 and a $100,000 bond costs $10,000. Anyone advertising less than 10% is breaking state law. Flexible payment plans are available — ask for details. Ask about discounts you may qualify for.
How Los Angeles County release actually works
Release time depends on the jail's processing and is often a few hours after the bond is posted; busy times such as weekend nights can take longer. Friday and Saturday nights run the longest — the IRC processes 300+ releases per shift. If your loved one has a PC 1275 hold (source-of-funds hearing required), an ICE detainer, a probation/parole hold, or an out-of-county warrant, the bond alone won't release them; we'll tell you upfront and walk you through what has to clear first. No surprises, no wasted premium.
