The hold, the transport, and how to bail out fast.
Point 1
The arresting county holds the defendant pending transport to the warrant-issuing county. Transport can take 24–72 hours, sometimes longer.
Point 2
Bail set on the warrant must be posted in the issuing county. Posting bail in the arresting county doesn't release the warrant hold.
Point 3
A licensed CA bondsman can post bail anywhere in the state — we coordinate the bond posting in the issuing county while the defendant is in transit, so they're released on arrival.
Point 4
Multi-county warrants (PC 1269) require careful coordination — call your bondsman before bail is posted to avoid the defendant getting bounced between facilities.
